| Job Description |
This post has been developed to support the principles of the Cancer / Oncology Plan and associated aspects of the NHS Modernisation Agenda. You will have sound knowledge of providing emotional and practical support, counselling and education to patients with breast cancer/disease, including plastic surgery. You will lead and advance the development of the existing service for women with breast cancer/disease at both local and national levels, together with managing the other members of the Breast Care Nursing Team. The ability to coordinate relevant clinical issues across the trust is essential and you should be able to represent those views both internally and externally, as required. You should have a well proven track record in breast cancer nursing and/or surgical breast care and have an in depth knowledge of breast oncology treatments and research. |
